This bay mare, a grandaughter of Easy Jet, is broke to ride and man can she run. She is without a doubt one of the most athletic horses we have and her endurance is phenomenal. We rode her until she was five years old and then let her have some babies.

Easy Jet as a Performance Sire??
Why should barrel racers care about this great horse of yesteryear? One reason is soundness. Easy Jet endured an incredible schedule during his 2-year-old year, racing way more than other horses his age, and he remained sound and willing. In fact, he remained sound his entire life. Then there is energy. It was said of him that he was a "busy" horse, always active and wanting to move. When that energy was channeled into racing, he achieved greatness. And Easy Jet wasn't just fast, he was quick. That trait did not endear him to his race jockeys, who needed to concern themselves with becoming unseated, but in barrel racing, we know what to do with that kind of quickness.
Walter Merrick, Easy Jet's owner, made these comments in interviews with Barrel Horse News: "I think his bone had a lot to do with it (his retiring sound). He was just always sound. He never had a sore day in his life." "He never was a mean colt at all, but he was on his toes all the time. He never did have any buck in him, but he was just a hyper-kind of horse ... he could move so quickly, so fast, it was hard to stay with him." "Anything that's got Easy Jet in it, they could run. They have good minds on them, and they're smart. You could teach them about anything."
Easy Jet achieved success as a stallion because he was able to pass on the traits that made him great. Two of Easy Jet's sons appear frequently in the pedigrees of barrel horses: Easily Smashed, himself a champion, and Easy Six, the sire of Streakin Six. Look for Easy Jet's name also on the bottom side of the pedigree, as he became a most successful broodmare sire.

Jackie Bee was one of the great halter and performance horse producers of his time. In the 1970's he produced many outstanding get that received many awards, such as: AQHA Champion, Halter Superior, and ROMS in Halter. When the look of the halter horse changed Jackie's get didn't change with it. Instead they showed there versatility in the performance classes, earning again such awards as: AQHA World Champion, Superior awards, and ROMS in the arena.
Skippa String, sire of Skip Silent was a AAA racehorse with a SI 95. Skip Tres Bar was an AQHA Champion earning points in halter and performance events.
The Eddie 40 and Shurfine Miss bloodlines came from the Scott Ranch. Winning the AQHA Best of the Remuda award in 2007, John Scott commented about their breeding program. In those comments he stated that “I really feel that the Eddie 40 horses were the best that we ever raised,” noted Scott. “They had everything a cowboy could want - lots of cow, easy to ride, good balance, soft mouth, and heart that would not quit.” You'll note these Eddie 40 bloodlines in our horses over and again. They may not have lots of points and championships, but they were sought after horses and you will see them again and again as being the horses that Paddys Irish Whiskey and Doc O Dynamite were crossed with.

CREME D LA DOC (Vanna) -
Color breeders take notice. This is one of the nicest cremello fillies we have seen. She has a nice size and will probably mature at 15 hands or just a little over. Very thick and muscular. Lots of cow and speed in her pedigree. Sail On Bunny had a speed index of 108 and the maternal side of her pedigree has a heavy concentration of Bill Cody. |

MISS LYNX STORM (Freckles)-
More commonly known as "Freckles" around the ranch, this filly will catch your eye in a heartbeat! She has had lots of groundwork but we have not started her as she was wire cut her two year old year. This filly's sire has his ROM in Working Cowhorse, has AQHA points and was a 2003 World Show qualifier in working cowhorse. He won the SDRCHA Futurity and Derby and was Reserve Champion at the WRCHA with LTE of $12,000. Her dam has had wins in working cowhorse and team penning. Colonel Freckles, Doc's Prescription, and Doc's Lynx are right on the papers of this filly. She is certainly good enough to breed but we think she will be better to ride!
